Kate Mickere is a writer and cake enthusiast based in Los Angeles.
Her plays have been developed and produced in Pittsburgh, Los Angeles and NYC. Recently, Mod Party was produced by the Actor's Theatre of Louisville as a part of their Tens Festival.
Kate is a recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan Student Screenwriting Award for Capturing the Stars, a screenplay about astronomy pioneer Williamina Fleming. The script was also given an honorable mention for the Sloan/Tribeca Grand Jury Prize.
